Sharon Palmer is a dietician and nutritionist who blogs from her own website. We’d like to thank Sharon for coming in to dine with us and for saying such nice things… blush. As she states in her review, (posted below) our menu changes weekly based on what is in season at the farmer’s market. Some items reviewed here may not be available at the time of your reservation.

There are a number of plant-based choices on the menu tonight, which all highlight a July harvest in Southern California. I spy peaches, fennel, shosito peppers, and beets—and I’m set to try them all. If you’re a lacto-ovo vegetarian, there are many, many choices at Union, although the menu does change weekly.
The food and ambience was entirely unpretentious—the staff were like neighborhood friends, and Chef Bruce visited the dining room and even greeted guests (including us) when we walked past the tiny kitchen. The casual, intimate space lends itself to a pure focus on the food.
