The resto’s pastoral appeal doesn’t end with the food. Kalman wished to “preserve the charm of the building,” and simply added homey décor accents to give it a warm and welcoming aesthetic. Think: artwork, exposed brick, wood tables, the aforementioned charming chalkboard display, hanging gardens, and even candles and hand soap crafted from recycled fryer oil.
